Advertising infrastructure is being prepared and ads may not yet appear on every page. This policy describes the standards that will apply when advertising or sponsorship is introduced.
Editorial independence
Advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners do not select our news agenda, review ordinary journalism before publication or purchase favourable coverage. Payment does not prevent legitimate reporting about an advertiser or its sector.
Clear labelling
Paid placements, sponsored material and other commercial formats will be clearly identifiable. Native or sponsored content will not be presented as independent newsroom reporting.
Data and reader choice
Advertising technologies may use cookies or similar identifiers only in accordance with the privacy notice, applicable consent requirements and the choices offered to readers. AlgeriaNews will use an appropriate consent-management system before activating advertising that requires it.
Suitability and enquiries
We may decline advertising that is unlawful, deceptive, discriminatory, unsafe, incompatible with the publication’s standards or likely to undermine reader trust. Acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute editorial endorsement.
